Day 1 Arrive in Beijing in the
afternoon. Day 2 We will begin the first day of the tour with some sight-seeing of the most famous scenic spots, The Great Wall, Ming Tombs. In the evening, we will hear a lecture from a recognised authority on Chinese antiques. Day 3 Visit to a large open-air antique market, a specialized antique mansion, and then the Museum of Chinese History. Day 4 Visit to the Palace Museum, the Temple of Heaven Walk through the Streets of Liulichang for various antiques. Day 5 Morning train or coach to Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, a place rich for its antique resources. We will first visit the famous Jing Temple. We will probably go into the towns or villages to explore the antiques and to bargin with the local farmers. Day 6 We will be in the countryside or towns for exploration of antiques. Day 7 Morning flight to Hangzhou, we will visit a factory where antiques are refurbished. A translator will help answer questions concerning wood types, finshing processes, etc. Then we will visit the beautiful West Lake. Day 8 Visits to tiny shops of antiques in the streets. Afternoon train to Wuyishan, Fujian Province. Day 9 Arrive in the morning, we will do some relaxed sight-seeings, including a delightful banboo raft ride along the Nine-Bend Stream. Day10 Visits to some antique shops and go into the countryside for antique exploration. Day11 We will be in the countryside for antique exploration. Day12 Morning flight to Shanghai. We will first do some relaxed sight-seeing and visit the two most famous antique warehouses in the city. Day13 We will start with a visit to a Shanghai museum. With a better idea of what to look for, we'll head into the narrow alleys and back-streets of Shanghai to visit the true antique dealers. We'll spend the entire day moving from shop to shop. W will also take care of refurbing and shipping arrangements to be made for your purchases. Day14 Back home. Departure Dates: 4/25, 5/2, 5/29,
